Relive the summer of 1976 in this heartwarming British musical from the producer of Billy Elliot. Minnie Driver plays Viv, a fiery high school drama teacher determined to fire up her hormonal, apathetic students by putting on the best end-of-the-year show the school has ever seen… a glam rock-infused musical version of Shakespeare’s The Tempest. But as the Welsh summer begins to heat up, can she compete with the typical teenage distractions of sex and drugs with some great rock and roll? Find out in this fantastic, rousing film- but remove all fears of the typical teen-pop covered high school musicals from your minds, as the songs in this film are from legendary artists like David Bowie, The Beach Boys, ELO, and The Byrds.

Gwen has been in a relationship with Rhys for seven years. On the surface they seem very happy but their relationship has been struggling for a while. When Rhys is sent to Patagonia on a photographic project, Gwen goes with him hoping that romantic place of dreams, will perhaps weave its magic on them. Their guide, Mateo, is the epitome of the gaucho spirit‐‐good looking and carefree. Gwen falls for Mateo and her dream trip with Rhys turns into something of a nightmare as the couple separates in the middle of the desert. They each embark on an adventure, which ultimately brings them back to each other as their love prevails and they are re‐united.

Cerys is seventy‐something and lives in the Andes. She is going to Buenos Aires for an eye operation, or at least that’s what her son and daughter‐in‐law believe. Cerys, however, has other plans. She leaves on a much longer journey to discover her mother’s roots in North Wales. Cerys’ mother was sent away to Patagonia with the shame of being pregnant out of wedlock and never returned back home. Accompanying Cerys on her journey through modern Wales is her rather neurotic nephew, Alejandro, who though reluctant at first to go along with the old lady’s madcap scheme ends up making the trip of a lifetime.
