REVIEW: To say that
"Dance Flick" is one of the best comedies of the year it
will be too much. To say that "Dance Flick" is one of the
best comedies of the Summer It will be premature, however I
have to admit the potential is there. I was very skeptic
about this film. I have been so disappointed with
prior parody movies (Superhero Movie, Meet the Spartans)
before that I didn’t expect much of it, yet I could not stop
laughing with this one.
This comedy includes some
scene that are so funny that I could not stop laughing . The
dance scene is what makes the movie really click. The first
15 minutes or so of the movie are the funniest moment in my
recent memory. As soon as I experienced those 15 minutes of
the movie I knew what I was getting into. One of those fun
none sense films that are just fun. Who cares about
screenplay quality when is getting entertain.
I haven’t had so much fun
in a movie theater in a long time. Even if you don't like
this type of films you will find "Dance Flick" quit amusing…
Damon Wayans Jr was great in this movie he has lots of
similarity to his dad Damon Wayans Sr in his performance and
also bring his unique style that could potentially make him
a upcoming star. Of course there is no Wayans movie without
the Wayans bros. Shawn Wayans nailed his role as his unique
way as a baby daddy. However the only downside to his role
was that he wasn’t much in it, but other than that his
performance was great. He basically stole each scene he was
in. Michael Ponce as Sugar bear was hilarious, he knows how
to step it up.. All the past musical movies you can think of
are represented in this movie, from High School Musical to
Step Up. You guest it! Each with its funny parody.
