OVERVIEW: The critically-acclaimed I SMILE BACK, starring 2016 Screen Actors Guild nominee for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role Sarah Silverman (“Masters of Sex”), Josh Charles (“The Good Wife”) and Thomas Sadoski (John Wick), debuts on DVD, VOD and Digital HD on February 23. Directed by Adam Salky (Dare), I SMILE BACK follows a wife and mom living a seemingly perfect life who is forced to face her painful past when the despair and reckless behavior she is hiding puts her in danger and begins affecting those she loves.

In addition to her Screen Actors Guild nomination, Silverman has received numerous accolades for giving “one of the best performances of the year” (Bob Strauss, Los Angeles Daily News), including Best Actress nods from the Indiana Film Journalists Association and Washington Area Film Critics Association, as well as being named by Indiewire’s Katie Walsh as one of the top 15 performances of the year.

SYNOPSIS:  Laney (Sarah Silverman) is an attractive, intelligent suburban wife and devoted mother of two adorable children. She has the perfect husband (Josh Charles), a pristine house, and a shiny SUV for carting the children to their next activity. However, just beneath the façade lie depression and disillusionment that send her careening into a secret world of reckless compulsion. Only very real danger will force her to face the painful root of her destructiveness and its crumbling effect on those she loves.

DVD: The film is presented in widescreen in a 2.40:1 aspect ration preserving its theatrical format. The picture is just flawless. Not only the picture looks great in this release, also the sound it is good, a 5.1 Dolby Digital in English that provides a good complement to the picture. It also includes  English  subtitles.
