A companion piece to the 1995 hit comedy Friday, New Line Cinema’s Next Friday, starring Ice Cube takes up where the original left off, although this time the action switches from South Central L.A. to suburbia. In the initial Friday, a modestly budgeted sleeper that grossed $28 million and remained a Top 100 video rental for nearly three years, Craig (Ice Cube) bails his friend out of trouble, survives a climatic confrontation with Debo, the neighborhood bully, and ends up with the girl. In Next Friday the bully is back as Debo (Tommy “Tiny” Lister, Jr.), who’s spent two years behind bars, is released from prison and is bent on revenge. Fearing for his son’s safety, Craig’s father (John Witherspoon) sends his son to live with Uncle Elroy (Don “DC” Curry) and cousin Day-Day. The two have parlayed their lottery winnings into a home in the suburbs of Rancho Cucamonga. However, Craig soon learns that trouble can find you no matter where you live. I hated that movie because my jaw got a cramp from laughing so hard. There was a lot of racial stereotypes in this move that I'm sure a lot of stupid jerks will whine about.  But, hey it's great because it's all done in FUN as in FUNNY! Way to go CRAIG! I hope to see another FRIDAY soon.

I am an Africian American who went to see Next Friday and found it to be an insult to all ethnic groups.  the cursing and actions of the cast left nothing to be desired.  Friday was much better than this one and I think that this should be the last one.

the movie was good but it wasnt as good as the first friday. that stunk smokey had to go to rehab and not be in the movie. please e mail me back saying if there will be another friday movie and why smokey wasnt in the 2 friday movie? ice cube is awesome and the mexican guy was funny. it was a good movie, but it wasnt that funny. the first 1 was funnier and better. make a new movie. thanks bye                                  anthony
