OVERVIEW: When the adrenaline is pumping and the stakes are high, the best just can’t lose. Lionsgate brings together the sport’s top mixed martial arts champions with the release of Beatdown to DVD, Blu-ray Disc, Digital Download and On Demand this August. Fans of Unrivaled and Circle of Pain will not want to miss out on this heavy-weight cast including Michael “The Count” Bisping (Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion), Heath “The Texas Crazy Horse” Herring (Former Heavyweight UFC Champion), Bobby Lashley (Former WWE Champion) and Michael “Quick” Swick (Welterweight UFC Contender). The fighters hit the mat alongside Rudy Youngblood (Apocalypto), Danny Trejo (Rob Zombie’s Halloween) and Eric Balfour (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) in an all-new hard-hitting film. Featuring music by Janus, Slant, Benevolent Tomorrow, Run Devil Run and The Asphault, the DVD and Blu-ray contain behind-the-scenes interviews and a featurette from the set with Michael Bisping.
SYNOPSIS: Respected street fighter Brandon (Youngblood) finds himself the latest target of the dangerous gangsters who viciously murdered his brother for money. Now, with a price on his head, he turns to his father’s home in a small Southern town. While settling into his new surroundings, he quickly learns of an underground cage fighting circuit. It’s not long before he decides enough is enough and it’s time to come out of hiding and seek revenge. The clock is ticking and, win or lose, Brandon is not going down without a fight.
