OVERVIEW: Audiences can bring home the hilarious first season of one of TV’s funniest
new series beginning August 17, as ABC’s laugh out loud comedy Cougar Town comes home on
DVD, from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment in Cougar Town: The Complete First Season.
SYNOPSIS: Golden Globe® nominee* Courteney Cox (Friends) stars in the hilarious hit comedy Cougar Town: The
Complete and First Season. After spending the last seventeen years as a wife mother, recently divorced
Jules (Cox) has reluctantly waded back into the dating pool and quickly finds herself in over her head.
Now forty-something and single, Jules tackles real-life issues – dating, parenting and friendship. It doesn’t
help Jules that her two best friends can hardly stand each other, her ex-husband is hanging around more
now than he did during their marriage…and there’s that handsome divorced neighbor that Jules can’t quite
get out of her head. Packed with laugh-out-loud moments and featuring a cast of television’s brightest
comedic stars, Cougar Town struts its stuff in this DVD collection, along with exclusive bonus features and
one or two special surprises. Cougar Town – it’s more than a place, it’s a state of mind.
SEASON REVIEW: The 2009/2010 Fall Season had to be one of the best seasons for the ABC Television Network in terms of comedies. Three of their new shows from the Fall line up brought good ratings for the network in a very competitive TV season. "Modern Family", "In the Middle " and "Cougar Town" created what ABC promoted as the new comedy
Wednesday. Buena Vista Home Entertainment will be releasing the "Cougar Town" the complete first season on DVD this August 17, 2010.
The show is well writing providing enough entertainment, laughs and funny
situations in every single episode. However nobody will
argue that this is not an extension of the Susan character from
Desperate Housewives. Since Susan is one of my favorite
desperate housewife, I found the show good, nevertheless most of
the times the similarities are too pronounce. From the first episode viewers will embark in the misadventure of this
recent divorced woman, as she is trying to get back into the
market again. The audience will laugh and entertain as this 40
year old tries to go back to her 20's lifestyle in every
episode.
Like it happens with any good new television show and specially a sitcom, the cast is as good as the show is and Cougar Town? is not the exception. This is a show that is well led by
Courteney Cox, it is very hard to imagine another person playing this role. The rest of the supporting cast
Christa Miller, Busy Philipps and Dan Byrd
add their own spice, to make this show the best Cougar Town one of the favorite sitcoms of the 2009/2010 Fall TV season.
Cougar Town The Complete First Season includes all 24 episodes, all in widescreen (1.78:1) with a English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and French language track . As for bonus features is concern, there are very slim in this release only a "Blopper Reel" , "Deleted Scenes" and
a behind the scenes call "Taming Cougar Town" in which
the sitcom makers talk about the evolution os the show from its
pilot into an ABC hit.
