OVERVIEW: Celebrate Valentine’s Day with red roses, red candy hearts and the beloved Scholastic character, Clifford the Big Red DogTM, as Lionsgate Home Entertainment releases Clifford: Best Buddies this February. The first all-new Clifford DVD release in nearly two years includes six fun-filled episodes that have never been released to DVD. The release supports a larger effort to reach kids and families across the country with the Clifford BE BIG Campaign for civic engagement. Inspired by Clifford’s 10 Big Ideas (Share, Help Others, Be Kind, Be Responsible, Play Fair, Be a Good Friend, Believe in Yourself, Have Respect, Work Together and Be Truthful), the BE BIG campaign invites people of all ages to take positive action and make the world a better place. Clifford: Best Buddies supports the BIG idea “Be a Good Friend.” In addition, the DVD contains the kid-friendly direct-play feature, allowing children to insert the DVD and watch without help from an adult. Clifford: Best Buddies, which includes six bonus Speckle Stories, will be available February 1, 2011.

SYNOPSIS: Clifford knows that every day is a BIG, cuddly, fun-filled adventure when you spend time with your friends! In these six adventure-filled stories, Clifford and his friends discover the best parts of friendship are being together. They also see the importance of keeping promises, respecting each other and doing nice favors. So whether Clifford's getting a bath from Emily Elizabeth, playing tag with Cleo and T-Bone, sharing a squiggle stick with Mac or watching fireworks, he always knows the best part of best buddies is being with the people—and dogs—he loves the most!
