REVIEW: Madea's Big Happy Family

OVERVIEW:
Hallelujer! Madea is back and funnier than ever as Lionsgate releases Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family on DVD, Blu-ray Disc, Digital Download and On Demand this summer. Based on the stage play by the same name, the film stars the infamous matriarch as she once again puts a hilarious and inspirational twist on the family unit. Writer-director Tyler Perry (For Colored Girls) stars as Madea, along with Shad “Bow Wow” Moss (HBO’s “Entourage”), Loretta Devine (For Colored Girls), Cassi Davis (TV’s “House of Payne”) and other Perry fan favorites. The DVD and Blu-ray Disc contain bonus materials that include a couple of featurettes plus interactive character bios and an improv clip – and the Blu-ray Disc also comes with a Digital Copy. Laugh-out-loud funny, Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Big Happy Family, will be available on August 30th
on DVD and on Blu-ray Disc. The release coincides with two additional Tyler Perry titles – Laugh to Keep From Crying (The Play) and Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns: Season 1 on the same day.
SYNOPSIS: The next generation of Madea’s family has a lot to learn, and the family matriarch is about to show them just how much. Shirley (Devine) has important news to share with her five grown children, but getting everyone together is a challenge. Enter Madea to demonstrate how it’s done. There ain’t nothing like family, as Madea puts it all in perspective with a hilarious twist on financial difficulties, illegal substances, and most importantly, family secrets.
