07/31/11

OVERVIEW: The most-watched HBO® comedy special of 2010 – Tracy Morgan: Black and Blue – comes to DVD this summer. Morgan, one of the hottest comedy stars on the scene today, headlines his first HBO stand-up special with his unpredictable and freewheeling brand of humor in an uncensored setting. This DVD feature presentation from HBO Home Entertainment includes 15 minutes of hilarious, exclusive deleted scenes and will hit stores on August 2, 2011.
Taped before a live audience at Harlem’s World Famous Apollo Theatre in New York City, Tracy Morgan: Black and Blue features the idiosyncratic comic’s audacious observations on such subjects as the difference between white and black culture, drugs, meeting President Obama, white rage, airport profiling, terrorism and sex. The special features an hour of adults-only humor told in the quirky, shocking, matter-of-fact style that has earned Morgan a place in the upper echelon of today’s most sought-after comedians.
One of the stars of the current hit series 30 Rock, Morgan was a cast regular on Saturday Night Live from 1996 to 2003. In addition to headlining his own series, The Tracy Morgan Show, he has starred in such films as Death at a Funeral, G-Force, First Sunday, Cop Out, Superhero Movie and The Longest Yard. Morgan received a 2009 Emmy® nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for 30 Rock, along with three NAACP Image Award nominations for Supporting Actor.
