Apple TV has released the official trailer and key art for “Nocturne,” a 10‑episode drama based on the internationally bestselling crime novel “The Sandman” by Lars Kepler. The series stars and is executive produced by Liev Schreiber and Zazie Beetz, with Stephen Graham also starring. “Nocturne” will premiere globally on Friday, October 30, 2026, with the first two episodes.
Lars Kepler is one of the world’s bestselling thriller authors. Their ten crime novels, known collectively as the Joona Linna series, have sold 20 million copies worldwide, are translated into 40 languages, and distributed in over 170 territories.
“Nocturne” follows Jonah Lynn (Schreiber), an ex‑soldier turned homicide detective who relocates from Philadelphia to a small town in Western Pennsylvania seeking a quieter life. His plans are disrupted when the town—and his family—come under threat from Jurek Walter (Graham), a highly intelligent and dangerous serial killer.
As the search intensifies, Jonah sends his surrogate daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Beetz), into direct confrontation with Jurek. The series explores how far Jonah will go to protect those closest to him as the investigation reaches critical stakes.
