It was ok, not a total
waste of my time but not worth the money
to see it in theatres, rent it when it
comes out but don't waste your money.
The plot was alright, Terrence Howard is
convincing and Hayden Christensen does a
good job. Alba is impressive in her
attempt at a diffrent role from her norm
but not breathtaking. Overall the plot
was good but drags toward the end and
the opening isn't exactly enrapturing
but overall it will keep you
entertained. My overall suggestion, see
it when you can rent it from netflix. |

I liked Jessica Alba.
Terrible movie though. I predict it
closes after the opening weekend. 2
hours I'll never get back. |

I saw this as a
test/review audience 14 months ago. I
was impressed by the production quality,
as this is an independent film. Jessica
Alba is about as good as she ever gets,
which is not great. Hayden Christensen
did an excellent job throughout.
Overall, the movie is entertaining and
captured the test audience well. I was
freaked out with the operating room
sequence-awake and being cut on. Yikes.
I thought they had instruments to
prevent that from happening! |

Don't let the slow
somewhat campy start fool you.. the plot
does thicken and if you allow yourself
to, you will be taken on a journey..
there is no promise of hope at the end
or nice little tied up ending (period).
what you get instead is something that
most american audiences probably can't
handle... a complete and utter feeling
of vulnerability. take a chance on this
film. |

I thought this movie was
really good. The only thing i didn't
like about it is the ending and how they
didn't really show us how his life would
be impacted by the things he figured out
during the "anesthetic awareness "
period. But overall the story line was
amazing and i never predicted the
ending. I dont want to say more than
this to give away the movie, but the
symbolism with the lights was amazing..
I suggest everyone to go see it! |

Very good little film. It
would have been better if the actors
were unknowns though, giving it an indie
feel it loses with weighty pop actors
overacting. Stitched together recklessly
maybe but well done. An original formula
being the awake surgery experience. Yes
you can see plotlines unfold far in
advance but it is a fun hour and a half.
Snobs that love to nitpick will have
alot to process here, but I enjoyed the
ride. Worth the $9 theater ticket.. |
