Gravitas Ventures, a Red Arrow Studios company, has announced the acquisition of CHRISTMAS COLLISION from a collaborative comprised of Garnet Films, Crazy Cat Lady Productions, You Are Beautiful Artistry and Stewbean Productions. The romantic holiday drama from director Lana Read (“Dogwood Pass”) will open in select theaters and be available on digital and on demand October 8.

Sometimes the best things in life happen in the most unintentional ways. And when Theodora (Sabrina Scott, Overtime), a chronic work-a-holic, crosses paths with Charlie (John Wells, “Star Wars: Hand of the Empire”), a writer, on a business trip, she finds herself trapped in the small town where he lives during the holiday season. At first resistant to one another, both are ultimately taken by surprise when unavoidable entanglements and unexpected circumstances present themselves and, perhaps, change both for good.

Vernon Wells (Commando) and Michael Paré (Hope Floats) also star.

“Our film was a labor of love,” stated Director Lana Read. “I’m excited to present a film that could become part of family’s holiday viewing tradition and proud that it also teaches us a little about valuing those who are important in our lives.”

“When could a message like that be more important than now?” agreed Producer Mark H. Stewart. “We look forward to our collaboration with Gravitas Ventures to share this story with as many viewers as possible. Now more than ever, people need some holiday cheer.”

“Full of charm and heart, filmmaker Lana Read has crafted a film that has something for everyone; romance, laughs, warmth and of course, Christmas. For anyone looking to lose themselves in a film with a wonderfully realized world, this makes for essential viewing,” stated Megan Huggins, Acquisitions Coordinator, Gravitas Ventures.

Christmas Collision was directed by Lead who also co-wrote the script with Nancy Pushkar (“The Randoms”). Mark H Stewart, Vernon Wells, Jessica Dunham, Nancy Pushkar, Lana Read produced the feature film.
