Joining Billy Crystal and John Goodman are Steve Buscemi, Helen Mirren, Alfred Molina, Dave Foley, Sean P. Hayes, Joel Murray, Peter Sohn, Charlie Day, Nathan Fillion, Bobby Moynihan, Julia Sweeney, Aubrey Plaza, Tyler Labine, John Krasinski, Bonnie Hunt, Beth Behrs and John Ratzenberger. Also revealed this week were the story and screenplay credits. Directed by Dan Scanlon, \u201cMonsters University\u201d features a story and screenplay by Daniel Gerson &#038; Robert L. Baird (\u201cMonsters, Inc.\u201d) and Scanlon. <\/p>\n<p>Scanlon says the cast was able to bring the story to life with great ingenuity and enthusiasm. \u201cWorking with this group of actors was an extraordinary experience. They each brought a unique level of humor, emotion and creativity to their work that not only complemented their individual performances, but made the overall story come together in a really wonderful way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The voice cast includes the following:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Billy Crystal (\u201cParental Guidance,\u201d \u201cWhen Harry Met Sally,\u201d \u201cCity Slickers\u201d) reprises his role as Mike Wazowski, now a college-age monster who follows his dream of becoming a Scarer at Monsters University.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         John Goodman (\u201cArgo,\u201d \u201cFlight,\u201d \u201cTrouble With the Curve\u201d) returns as James P. Sullivan (Sulley), an overly confident, young hotshot Scaring student at Monsters University.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Steve Buscemi (\u201cBoardwalk Empire\u201d) rejoins the monster world as Randy Boggs, a Monsters University freshman who is ready to experience all that college has to offer (if only he can curb his habit of disappearing).<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Helen Mirren (\u201cHitchcock,\u201d \u201cThe Queen\u201d) gives voice to Dean Hardscrabble, legendary Scarer and hard-to-please head of Monsters University\u2019s prestigious School of Scaring.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Alfred Molina (TNT\u2019s \u201cMonday Mornings,\u201d \u201cThe Da Vinci Code,\u201d \u201cFrida\u201d) is the voice of Professor Knight, an esteemed professor in Monsters University\u2019s School of Scaring.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Dave Foley (TV\u2019s \u201cNewsRadio,\u201d \u201cThe Kids in the Hall\u201d) as Terry Perry, the skeptical half of a bickering two-headed monster and dedicated Oozma Kappa (OK) brother.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Sean P. Hayes (\u201cThe Three Stooges,\u201d TV\u2019s \u201cUp All Night\u201d) gives voice to Terri Perry, the more sensitive side of a two-headed Oozma Kappa (OK) fraternity brother with Scaring aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Joel Murray (TV\u2019s \u201cMad Men,\u201d \u201cTwo and a Half Men\u201d) voices Don Carlton, a \u201cmature\u201d student at Monsters University and a founding member of the Oozma Kappa (OK) fraternity. <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Pixar\u2019s Peter Sohn (\u201cRatatouille,\u201d \u201cSmall Fry\u201d) provides the voice of Scott \u201cSquishy\u201d Squibbles, an undeclared sophomore at Monsters University and Oozma Kappa (OK) fraternity member who still lives with his doting mother. <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Charlie Day (\u201cHorrible Bosses,\u201d \u201cPacific Rim,\u201d TV\u2019s \u201cIt\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia\u201d) provides the voice of the incomparable Art, an Oozma Kappa (OK) fraternity brother with a questionable past. <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Nathan Fillion (\u201cMuch Ado About Nothing,\u201d \u201cPercy Jackson: Sea of Monsters,\u201d TV\u2019s \u201cCastle\u201d) portrays Johnny Worthington, the confident president of Roar Omega Roar (ROR), a Monsters University fraternity that prides itself on its notable Scarers.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Bobby Moynihan (NBC\u2019s \u201cSaturday Night Live,\u201d HBO\u2019s \u201cGirls,\u201d DreamWorks Studios\u2019 \u201cDelivery Man\u201d) helps bring to life Chet Alexander, a yes-monster member of the Roar Omega Roar (ROR) fraternity.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Julia Sweeney (TV\u2019s \u201cThe Goode Family,\u201d \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d) lends her voice to Ms. Squibbles, indulgent mother to Monsters University sophomore Scott \u201cSquishy\u201d Squibbles. <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Aubrey Plaza (\u201cTo Do List,\u201d TV\u2019s \u201cParks and Recreation\u201d) gives voice to Claire Wheeler, the somber president of Monsters University\u2019s Greek Council and emcee for the annual Scare Games. <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Tyler Labine (\u201cTucker &#038; Dale vs. Evil,\u201d \u201cMad Love\u201d) was tapped to voice Brock Pearson, vice president of the Greek Council and enthusiastic emcee of the Scare Games. <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         John Krasinski (\u201cPromised Land,\u201d TV\u2019s \u201cThe Office\u201d) provides the voice of \u201cFrightening\u201d Frank McCay, a Scaring super star at Monsters, Inc. <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Bonnie Hunt (TV\u2019s \u201cThe Bonnie Hunt Show,\u201d \u201cCheaper By the Dozen\u201d) was called on to provide the voice of young Mike Wazowski\u2019s grade school teacher Karen Graves.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         Beth Behrs (TV\u2019s \u201c2 Broke Girls\u201d) serves as the voice of Carrie Williams, fearless leader of the Python Nu Kappa (PNK) sorority.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7         John Ratzenberger (\u201cCheers,\u201d Disney\u2022Pixar\u2019s feature films) returns to the Pixar recording studio as the voice of a Monsters, Inc. employee.<\/p>\n<p>Screaming with laughter and oozing with heart, Disney\u2022Pixar\u2019s \u201cMonsters University\u201d is directed by Dan Scanlon (\u201cCars,\u201d \u201cMater and the Ghostlight,\u201d \u201cTracy\u201d), produced by Kori Rae (\u201cUp,\u201d \u201cThe Incredibles,\u201d \u201cMonsters, Inc.\u201d) and features music from future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Randy Newman (\u201cMonsters, Inc.,\u201d \u201cToy Story 3\u201d).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Disney\u2022Pixar\u2019s \u201cMonsters University\u201d welcomes some of Hollywood\u2019s top stars to its roster of voice talent for this summer\u2019s frighteningly funny comedy adventure, opening in U.S. theaters on June 21, 2013.
