Set in 1990s Iraq, the film follows 9\u2011year\u2011old Lamia<\/strong>, who has been chosen to bake a cake for the President\u2019s birthday. In a country marked by fear, scarcity, and daily struggle, Lamia sets out across the big city in search of eggs, flour, and sugar. Joined by her grandmother, her loyal friend Saeed<\/strong>, and her pet rooster Hindi<\/strong>, she navigates vendors, police officers, and the unpredictable realities of life under dictatorship \u2014 all for a task far bigger than she understands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
