OVERVIEW: Millennium Entertainment is proud to announce the home entertainment release of the romantic comedy, ELSA & FRED. Academy Award® nominee Michael Radford (The Merchant of Venice, Il Postino) directs this remake of the acclaimed 2005 Spanish-Argentine film of the same name. Academy Award® winners Christopher Plummer (Beginners, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Shirley MacLaine (Terms of Endearment, Bernie, In Her Shoes) lead the talented cast that also includes Academy Award® winner Marcia Gay Harden (Mystic River, Pollock, Upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey), Chris Noth (HBO’s Sex and the City, CBS’ The Good Wife, Law & Order) and Golden Globe® winner Scott Bakula (Behind the Candelabra, Quantum Leap, HBO’s Looking). Audiences can take home the film on DVD and Blu-ray™ beginning December 30, 2014.
SYNOPSIS: ELSA & FRED is the story of two people who, at the end of the road, discover that it's never too late to love. After losing his wife, Fred (Plummer) feels disturbed, confused and alone, so his daughter (Gay Harden) helps move him into a small apartment where he meets Elsa
(MacLaine). From that moment on, everything changes. Elsa bursts into Fred’s life like a whirlwind, determined to teach him that the time he has left to live—be it more or less—is precious and that he should enjoy it as he pleases. ELSA & FRED is produced by Oscar Winner Ed Saxon (Silence of the Lambs), Matthias Ehrenberg (Before Night Falls), Ricardo
Kleinbaum, Jose Levy and Nicolas Veinberg.

The film is
presented in widescreen in a 2.40:1 aspect ration preserving its
theatrical format. The picture is just flawless. Not only the
picture looks great in this release, also the sound it is good,
a 5.1 Dolby Digital in English that provides a good complement
to the picture. It also includes English
and Spanish subtitles.
