OVERVIEW: Millennium Entertainment is proud to announce that audiences can take home the gothic thriller, STONEHEARST ASYLUM, on DVD and Blu-Ray™ December 16, 2014. Directed by Brad Anderson (Transsiberian, The Machinist, The Call), the haunting film features the all-star cast of Kate Beckinsale (Pearl Harbor, Underworld series, Total Recall (2012)), Jim Sturgess (Across the Universe, 21, One Day, Upside Down), Academy Award® winner Michael Caine (Hannah and Her Sisters, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception) and Academy Award® winner Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Shutter Island, Iron Man 3).
SYNOPSIS: When young doctor Edward Newgate (Sturgess) arrives at Stonehearst Asylum in search of an apprenticeship, he is warmly welcomed by superintendent Dr. Lamb (Kingsley) and a mesmerizing woman by the name of Eliza Graves
(Beckinsale). Edward is intrigued by Lamb’s modern methods of treating the insane until a series of unusual events leads him to make a horrifying discovery, exposing Lamb’s utopia and pushing Edward to the limits of his conscience. Inspired by a short story from Edgar Allan Poe, STONEHEARST ASYLUM is a tale in which nobody is who or what they appear to be. Also stars Michael

presented in widescreen in a 2.40:1 aspect ration preserving its
theatrical format. The picture is just flawless. Not only the
picture looks great in this release, also the sound it is good,
a 5.1 Dolby Digital in English that provides a good complement
to the picture. It also includes English
and Spanish subtitles.
