OVERVIEW:
Alchemy is proud to announce the home entertainment release of
the haunting thriller STRANGERLAND. Academy Award® winner Nicole
Kidman (Moulin Rouge, Grace of Monaco, The Hours) leads a superb
cast featuring Hugo Weaving (The Matrix Trilogy, The Lord of the
Rings Trilogy) and Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare in Love,
“American Horror Story: Asylum”). STRANGERLAND is the feature
film debut for award-winning director, Kim Farrant, whose short
films, The Secret Side of Me, Alias, Sammy Blue, Beloved and
Bombshell have screened at Cannes, Toronto, New York Film
Festival and more. Audiences can own the film on DVD & Blu-ray™
on August 18, 2015.
SYNOPSIS: Newly arrived to a remote desert town,
Catherine (Nicole Kidman) and Matthew (Joseph Fiennes) are
tormented by suspicion when their two teenage children
mysteriously vanish into a dust storm that leaves only cryptic
incriminations and family secrets in its wake.
BLU-RAY:
The film is
presented in widescreen in a 2.40:1 aspect ration preserving its
theatrical format. The picture is just flawless. Not only the
picture looks great in this release, also the sound it is good,
a 5.1 Dolby Digital in English that provides a good complement
to the picture. It also includes English
and Spanish subtitles.
