Destiny sends the Oceanic 6 back to the Island and into the heart of the enigmatic Dharma Initiative. The

REVIEW: The fifth season
of "Lost" proof to be the best season in the series,
setting up the show for a must see season six, making it the
best television shows in recent years. Seventeen explosive
episodes that kept audiences ones again guessing as to what the
final outcome of the series will be. Just in time for the
holidays and a month and half from the premiere of season five,
"Lost The Complete Fifth Season" will hit the shelves
on December 8, 2008. The Blu-ray edition has a total of five
discs including all 17 episodes from season five plus many
special features that will get fans in the right track to a
highly anticipated season five.
After the shocking season four finale, the expectations for the
fifth season were very high. How they are going back to the
island? What happen to the other survivors? What happen to Lock.
These were some of the questions left open in season 4, that
kept fans guessing and speculating for more than 7 months.
Season four has the answer to all of those questions and even
more, but not without opening a set of new ones. Giving the show
the mystery and the intrigue that was absent for most of the
third season.
Similar to the previous season, there are no filler episodes in
the fifth season, every episode is important. Most likely thanks
to the writers' strike that cut the season short, forcing the
writers to add extra quality to the story of every episode.
There is so much new information and so many answers to open
question in these 17 episodes, that I found myself watching the
season entirely and I think I'm ready for the final season. The
good thing is that February 2, 2010 is just around the corner
BLU-RAY: Lost
Season Five is presented in a stunning 1080P widescreen with
a 1.78:1 preserving its television format. The transfer
looks very clean with flawless pictures and stunning views
of the island, giving the series the
clarity that only high definition can provide. Buena Vista
Home Entertainment did a phenomenal job in this
transfer. Not only the picture looks excellent in this
release, also the sound it is good, a 5.1 Dolby DTS HD (48
kHz/16-bit) in
English and 5.1 Dolby Digital in Spanish and French that provides a nice complement to the picture. It also
subtitles in Spanish and French subtitles.
The Blu-ray includes 5
discs containing all 17 original season five shocking episodes and is loaded with
special features, including revealing cast interviews and behind-the-scenes
features, including exclusive content only available on the Blu-ray.
The highlight in this release has to be anticipated The Lost

Viewers will be able to join LOST executive producers Carlton Cuse, Damon Lindelof, the
cast of “LOST,” and a panel of esteemed experts for a vast array of courses at LOST
University, delving into the themes and storylines regularly explored on the groundbreaking

gain a better understanding of the story, unique insight to the mysteries of “LOST,” and
perhaps even valuable clues as the show heads into its final season. “LOST University” will
be accessible through several portals, starting now with www.lostuniversity.org, where
“LOST” fans can enroll beginning September 22, 2009, months before the university
goes completely live on December 8, 2009. The main campus of “LOST University” will
live on the “LOST: The Complete Fifth Season” Blu-ray disc and will be powered by BDLive.
Each visit to LOST University through the “LOST: The Complete Fifth Season” Blu-ray disc
will connect viewers to a unique and exclusive experience, powered by BD-LIVE
technology. Upon launching the innovative interface, students immediately get access to their
personalized lesson plans, compelling HD Audio-Visual presentations and communication
from the LOST University faculty and staff. Like any real university, campus life at LOST
University is not solely focused on higher learning, pop quizzes and homework. Through an
extended web experience, students will be able to pay visits to the campus bookstore to

Unfortunately the University
was not available at the time of the review, but I'm sure that
it will be a treat for all the fans, including myself.
