when its light passes through the magical Fall Scepter that Tinker Bell has been summoned to
create, Pixie Hollow’s supply of pixie dust will be restored. But when Tinker Bell accidentally

FILM REVIEW: On October 27, 2009, Disney is releasing the sequel to their direct to video smash hit Tinker Bell. Even Disney underestimated the Tinker Bell market, and where pleasantly surprised by how well the DVD/Blu-ray did. So, now comes the sequel. I actually got to see Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure on the big screen at a preview screening a couple of weeks ago.
From the preview, I was looking forward to this movie, because I like big adventure movies. The first Tinker Bell movie tells the story of how Tinker Bell came to be and how she came to accept that she is a Tinker Fairy(a fairy that fixes things). This Tinker Bell movie is about a big adventure, and we actually see Tinker Bell leave Pixie Hollow.Tinker is charged with making autumn happen and restoring the Pixie Dust Tree. She is given the moonstone and asked to creating a scepter for it. Tinker ends up breaking the moonstone and sets out on an adventure to find a new one
He is my main problem with the movie, the adventure is not long enough. Am I saying I wanted a longer Tinker Bell movie? Yes, I think the adventure should have been longer with greater foes. Maybe the movie needs a central enemy like Captain Hook. Wouldn't it be awesome to see a movie about how Tinker Bell met Peter Pan?
The one good thing about the adventure is that Tinker meets Blaze, a hilarious Firefly. He is the new star of the series and I hope to see him again. I know that Disney is trying to develop this into a continuing series, so I hope they continue to improve the story lines.
Even thought I'm giving the movie three stars, I know most kids under five would give it a five star rating. So, if you have a child under five, more than likely you'll be standing in line Tuesday to purchase this movie. I know I will.
BLU-RAY: Tinker Bell
and The Lost Treasure Five is presented in a stunning 1080P
widescreen with a 1.78:1 preserving its television format.
The transfer looks very clean with flawless pictures, giving
animation the clarity and smoothness that only high
definition can provide. Walt Disney Studios did a phenomenal
job in this production. Not only the picture looks excellent
in this release, also the sound it is good, a 5.1 Dolby DTS
HD in English and 5.1 French and Spanish audio that provides
a nice complement to the picture. It also subtitles in
Spanish, French and English.
In terms of special
features the Blu-ray a few. It includes “scenes you never saw,” a guide to Pixie Hollow
and behind the scenes of the Epcot transformation and a the
new music video "The Gift Of A Friend" performed
by Demi Lovado.
