 The People's Review of The Bone Collector

score = 70
It was a bit corny and not too believable (so what's new for Hollywood) but it was entertaining,  It had enough of a twisted plot to keep me interested and I'm not very patient with dumb movies.  I agree with jonathan that the ending stunk.  Way TOOOOO corny!

THIS SUSPENSE THRILLER WAS VERY INTERESTING. AMELIA AND LINC CHARACTERS BRING "QUINCY" AND SIDE KICK "SAM" TO THE BIG SCREEN. ANGELINA JOLIE AND DENZEL WASHINGTON ARE LIKE OLD FRIENDS ON SCREEN.  THE POSSIBILITY OF A SEQUEL OR EVEN A PREQUEL  COULD BE EVEN BETTER FILMS.

I thought the Bone Collector was exceptional! Jolie gave an incredible performance, which came as no shock to me after seeing such performances as Gia and True Women. She seemed to be the back bone of the cast, however, Washington and Latifah do deserve applause. The film itself did not fail to do all that was promised, it thrilled it chilled and it kept you in suspense! GO SEE IT!

I give it 30 for the good acting by the lead players, but the plot is ludicrous, the murderer was someone who was in the entire movie for about 2 minutes...how could anyone possibly figure this out?   What made the murderer think he was going to get revenge? How did he know this cop was going to be in on the investigation since he killed 3 people previous to this spree & the cop was not involved?  The plot makes no sense, the clues redicoulous...all of a sudden the nurse yells out that it looks like a face---yea sure!The female cop goes into places alone like an idiot. I could go on & on. The worse part of this movie is the violence. Why can't a good movie be made without all this gruesome stuff? I don't appreciate watching some guy die by being eaten by rats! It's disgusting! This is a shame because Mr. Washington & Ms. Jolie are excellent in this movie.

great movie, untill she figures out whats going on. Then it seemed like they did not care.   Horrible ending

Denzel was amazing!  His acting was awesome, ESPECIALLY to have been in his bed the entire movie.  I thought the passion he displayed is worth an Oscar.  The suspense was bone-chilling and the ending was a true shocker.  I thoroughly enjoyed this flic.  A definite must see.  One of Denzel's best.   4 stars to the entire cast.  A JOB WELL DONE!

The movie was GREAT!, one of the best movies i have seen in a while, the suspense was heart pounding, Jolie is so good in it, and her looks help too! But the ending was a little to happy.

The Bone Collector was a thrilling, exciting, and heart-pounding thriller. It had all of the components and elements of a great movie. Denzel Washington didn't surprise me, he always play his role to his maximum potential. "Queen" did a good job with her 2-5 lines in the movie. I like the idea of how the mind was able to recapture past evidence of previous information. Since this movie...it has left a major impact upon my mind and it has also taught me a lesson to "not ride in cabs!!"

I felt that the acting in this film was very well done, considering the material that they had to work with.  Unfortunately, it seems that the screen writer, director, producer, etc., did not fully read the book.  After reading it, I was so looking forward to seeing the movie.  What a HUGE disappointment!  I was especially looking forward to seeing the scenes with the MALE aide.  The banter in the book was quite humorous, a nice relief from the grizzly murders.  All of these murders/kidnappings were supposed to take place during a big UN deal going on.  This plays prominantly in the book, but no mention of it in the film.  I just don't understand how anyone can take such a page turner and turn it into a plotless mess such as this.  If you liked the movie, read the book...it's a whole different story, more crime scenes, different characters, different victims, different killer, different sub-plots...just a completely different story altogether.  What a shame!

More like the Dumb Collector.  What a stupid and predictable movie. In the recent trends of bleak chic movies this one is the lowest.  If you want to see a much cooler movie and one that intrigues you watch the amazing SEVEN.

This movie is the best thriller I´ve seen since Seven!Great story, and the actors are perfect as Amelia and Linc. Definetly worth seeing!

The movie started off very well. It started to get a little boring towards the end, just another one of those films that we've all seen a thousand times.

The ending would have been more interesting if, when in the bookstore, the lady cop goes to the last chapter and sees herself herself being watched by the murderer..... Jenner B.
