 The People's Review of Chicken Run

score = 90
Chicken Run was hilarious.  I went to see it for the sake of claymation and Wallace and Gromit, but I went back.  The characters have been really well-developed, the music was superb, and it had its deeper moments.  I think this is a film only for the educated.  Some people- I speak from experience- don't get it.  Or kids, of course- my sisters loved it.

ALRIGHT! I WAS biased before I came to see the movie! I admit it! I loved Wallace & Gromit! But it was still pretty good. It's funny how Adults keep on saying it's more for adults than kids and how kids keep on saying adults shouldn't see it, it's a kids movie. IT'S A KIDS MOVIE! I loved it.

Chicken Run is one of the best movies I've ever seen! The animation is done very well, the characters are interesting and funny, and the movie is suitable for all ages to! I have the movie and have been watching alot since I've had and I advise you to get it.

I have mixed feelings about this movie.  I've studied the Holocaust and World War II in depth, and I found it uncanny how this movie paralleled the Nazi concentration camps.  I'm not Jewish, but I can imagine how anyone who is Jewish and had loved ones in the concentration camps might take offense at this movie.  It seems to make light of a tragic era in our history.

Just so no one thinks everyone liked the movie, I for one, did not enjoy it.  I thought a few things were well done, even the story was good, and the "clay" did seem to "emote" better than one would think--but all-in-all the movie landed with a THUNK.

The movie was the best!!!! Me and my friends had a blast! We had a great time laughing throught the whole movie.Babs is definately the best!!!!!!!!! she reminds me of my friend Amy. Babs was definately the humor of the movie. Clueless but hilarious.

This is a good kids movie.  It's cute enough for the kids and has some jokes that only adults will get.  Not too long.  Go see it with your kids.

Believe me when I say this, you have to see this movie! It has everything a movie needs in it. I have become literaly addicted to the movie like so many other people. Adults out there, don't think this is another "kiddie" movie. All ages love it and I would know because when I went to see it I saw from very little kids to seinor citizens. Dinosaur by Disney is totally washed up by this movie. Unfortunatly I didn't get to see the movie opening day but about a week after or so. It really made audiences "flock to theaters" and it was not so easy to find seats to saet your entire party of people. But still, everyone got a seat and everyone loved the movie. You would think that they only cheer opening day but there was a big applause at the end of the movie. I gotta say, I have never seen that before. And so you people know out there, Ginger is the actual main character and not Rocky. But you will enjoy this movie and if you have already seen it go see it again! All the characters have a special place in the audience's heart and you want them to escape. And right now last I checked it is in second place at the box office. So go see the movie!

Most G-rated movies are too boring to sit through, and this was a great change.  No singing- that's a huge relief!!  This is the perfect movie for anyone.  It's got to be hard to make a movie that good, but I'm glad somebody did!

Extraordinary.  When I first heard about this movie I felt it was a definite "no".  The more I learned, the better it sounded, and it is, without a doubt, a "Must See".  The film was described as being a parady of The Great Escape.  This is obviously for children older than five and has not been misleading in it's advertising...How wonderfully creative!

I took my children to see Chicken Run today. My kids are 8 and 9 years old.  They totally enjoyed it, and so did I.  Mel Gibson is a great rooster!!

I just got back from taking my little brother to see this movie, and it was great. Having seen Wallace and Gromit, my brother loves those shows, I knew what I was in for and figured it would be somewhat interesting. I was wrong. This is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. The worst thing about it is that some people will avoid it simply because it's animated.

My wife and I enjoyed Chicken Run very much.  It's nice to finally see a movie that is funny, witty, original, clean and with many lovable characters.  I wish Disney would produce movies of such high quality.  This film is definitely a must-see, for both children and adults alike.  (FYI, the film features one or two British words that many Americans might not understand!)

THIS IS DEFINATLY A GOOD MOVIE.  MOM AND I WENT TO SEE IT YESTERDAY AND IT WAS REALLY GOOD.  MOM LIKED IT BECAUSE IT DIDN'T HAVE BAD WORDS IN IT LIKE THE MOVIES  SHE WON'T LET ME WATCH AT HOME.  SHE GETS MAD BECAUSE SHE SAYS THAT THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH MOVIES FOR KIDS ANYMORE AND THAT IS WHY THE WORLD IS SO BAD. KIDS DO THINGS THEY SEE ON TV AND THE MOVIES

Frankly, I am stunned I liked this movie so much.  I took my little cousin to it, figuring I might have to suffer the indignity of a Pokemon type experience.  But, this movie worked on many levels.  It gave great homage to Stalag 17 and The Great Escape during the movie.  The characters were endearing, interesting, and always giving energy to the script.  Basically, this movie worked for kids and adults alike.  It reminds me a little of Babe, a movie that kind of became a sleeper hit.  I think Chicken Run will follow suit.  RJB

Saw a sneak preview of this movie and although I am not a big fan of childrens movies I thought it was well done.  The final escape was lame but the planning leading up to it was funny.  There is a scene where a chicken is killed; it was the only part of the movie where all the kids in the theatre shut up at once.  Just shows that there was a risk to the chickens trying to escape; it wasn't for the fun of it...

I did not think this ia a movie for young children. I saw it today with my children ages 4 and 5 at a sneak preview. Most of the children in the auidience were young. The movie is dark, the dialouge sophisticated, and the hteme of killing ran through it. It seems to be based on Stalag 17.This is a movie for middle schoolers at the youngest.
