 The People's Review of Dinosaur

This film is to animation is what Star Wars was to the Science Fiction genre - it raises the benchmark by 10 notches.  I was totally mesmerised by the almost perfect blending of realism and animation in this movie in addition to the innovative "camera angles".  Forget that it has a familiar disney plot and that the realistic looking dinosaurs have voices - this is an animated disney film afterall!!  Just enjoy the film that could never have been brought to the screen before in such a visually spectacular and realistic presentation - if u were not an adult, u could believe that dinosaurs had the capacity to speak.

I had a good time watching this one. It may have beeen intended for younger viewers but it still was a pretty good film. The fact that the entire film was created with computer animations was simply astounding! I would have liked to seen an all-star cast like maybe Michael J. Fox as Aladar or Whoopie as Plio. The efects were stunning and it is a great choice for younger audiences.

i thought the animation was very realistic and i thought the movie had a great story. it was informative and realistic on the lives of dinosaurs, yet it wasn't too scary to take your child to go see.

Despite the great visual effects, the script was nondescript and the plot, a "Land Before Time" wannabe.

A towering marvel of visual achievement, this film once again restored my faith in the power of cinema. Every single scene was flawlessly fantastic. The story was a perfectly plausible scenario of dinosaur life with the by now familiar disney characterizations. The film wasn't nearly long enough and that is my only disappointment. The cynics will have to remember that this film was designed to appeal to a wide range of audience. I did get the feeling that there may be many adventures in store for the characters, this film perhaps served as an introduction to the characters. Of course, I would have still like the meteor to hit at the climax of the film and then after all the dying, to fast forward millions of years to a museum or something, showing aladar's bones maybe.....
