After his father’s accidental death, Kale
(Shia LaBeouf) remains withdrawn and troubled. When he
lashes out at a well-intentioned but insensitive teacher, he
finds himself under a court-ordered house arrest. His mother
continues to cope, working extra shifts to support herself
and her son, as she tries in vain to understand the changes
in his personality. The walls of his house begin to close
in on Kale as he takes chances to extend the boundaries ‑
both physical and emotional – of his confinement. His
interests turn outside the windows of his suburban home
toward those of his neighbors, including a mutual attraction
to the new girl next door (Sarah Roemer). Together, they
begin to suspect that another neighbor is a serial killer.
Are their suspicions merely the product of Kale's cabin
fever and vivid imagination? Or have they unwittingly
stumbled across a crime that could cost them their lives?

First of all, I would like to say,
despite the boom mics appearing in
nearly all of the movie, the movie still
rocked insanely hard. When I saw the
trailer on the internet for the first
time I knew right then that I was going
to see this movie A.S.A.P. Even the
trailer made me draw up in suspense. It
was great.
I went to see it the night it opened and
there was hardly an open seat in the
place. My friends and I ended up sitting
cramped on a row with a huge lady
that kept dropping her phone and
standing up to look for it...needless to
say, your's truly was the one sitting
right next to her.
The movie kicked off with instant
thrills. As the movie progressed, so did
my nerves. By the end of the movie my
friend had lost the circulation in her
arm. I latched on and had trouble
letting go. It was that good. If a movie
scares me as much as Disturbia did, you
know it's got to be awesome.
The character selection was great as
well. I will always think of Shia
Lebouf as the little, annoying kid on
Disney's Even Stevens, however, as much
as I doubted he could be a serious
actor, he was phenomenal!
I never ever, ever suspected him to be
as good as he was. So pretty much
what I'm trying to say is, go see the
movie!!! If I loved it this much, I
pretty much know you will. And believe
me, I'm a BIG movie critic. There are
few movies that make me feel the way I
did during Disturbia. It was insanely
amazing. GO SEE IT!!!

My friend and I went to the movie
suspecting it to be scary but a possible
flop...turns out we were wrong. The
movie is I think my new favorite horror
film! It had everything from romance, to
moments of laughter, to of course,
horror. The movie didn't drag on or have
a slow start like most. It got straight
to the point..the beginning shocked me.
For at LEAST a half hour of the movie, I
was gripping my sweatshirt, my legs were
slightly shaking, my friend was
breathing funny (haha), and the rest of
the people in the theater kept jumping,
which of course, was making me jump even
more! The editing with the trailer was
so good b/c things that I was predicting
in the movie from it, were coming out
wrong and I hate the movies where I can
predict things. I definately recommend
everyone to go see it! It was SOOOO
good! :D |

Wait..i want to change my rating to 1000
instead of 100. Disturbia is the
greatest movie ever!!! The first time i
saw the commercial i knew i wanted to
watch it!!! It was sooo suspensful/scary/funny/romantic.
It's a mix of everything. Who ever said
that Disturbia was a bad movie is the
one thats disturbed. Seriouslly. I
highly rcommend it. If u do goo , be
sure to sit at the back, bring ear
pluggs cos of all the screaming and dont
goo with someone who is a whimp and who
doesnt watch these kinds of movies.
Trust this 13 year old. YOU WILL LOVE
IT!! :) Definatly adding this onto my
favourie movies list. hahh |

Not expecting much of the movie my
friends and i drive over to the theater
to find it is packed with people. We
purchase our tickets and find it almost
impossible to find a single seat!!! The
beggining of the movie was anything but
slow and offered an interesting plot.
The movie paces itself at a perfect
speed as it eventually moves up to the
main action packed suspenseful dramatic
somewhat erotic core of the story. The
theater was filled with cheering,
clapping and the abnoxious screams of
young teenage girls. It was a heroic,
suspenseful, action packed, dramatic,
and a horror filled film. I highly
reccomend it, for you will
surley remember this experience the rest
of your life.

My husband and I went out to the
Destinta theatre in Clarion, PA this
weekend to see Disturbia. We paid for
our tickets and went in expecting to
enjoy ourselves. We would’ve except for
the fact that about 2/3 of the way into
the movie boom microphones began to show
in the top of the screen shot. This was
followed shortly by the appearance of
taped lights, and light settings
to the disappearance of the ceilings-I
mean we were seeing where the set ended,
the walls cut off and the black of room
where the film was being shot began. In
irritation my husband left the movie and
returned a few minutes later with the
explanation given to him by the
employees that there had been a note
included with the reel asking the
theater to adjust to compensate for the
mic’s showing. They tried they said, but
this was the best they could do without
cutting off
most of the actors faces. |

This is the best movie I have EVER seen.
My brother has seen it 3 times already,
but I've only seen it once. I feel like
dropping everything and going to see it

packed all around great movie. Shia
LaBouf is so great in this movie. I know
he is going to be a big star. Distrubia
