OVERVIEW: The feature directorial debut of Academy Award® and Golden Globe® nominee* William H. Macy, RUDDERLESS makes its DVD debut on January 20, 2015 from Paramount Home Media Distribution. Starring Billy Crudup (Almost Famous), Anton Yelchin (Star Trek Into Darkness), Felicity Huffman
(“Desperate Housewives”), Jamie Chung (“Believe”), Selena Gomez (Spring Breakers) and Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix), the film had its world premiere as the Closing Night Film at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.
The RUDDERLESS DVD includes a featurette entitled “Hear This Song,” a music video for the song “Hold On” featuring Selena Gomez and Ben Kweller, as well as deleted scenes.
SYNOPSIS: RUDDERLESS tells the story of Sam, a father (Billy
Crudup) whose life is torn apart by the sudden death of his son. When Sam discovers a box filled with his son's demo tapes and lyrics, his own child’s musical talent is a revelation for him. Sam learns each song and eventually musters the will to perform one at a local bar. When Quentin (Anton
Yelchin), a young musician in the audience, is captivated by the song, the unlikely duo forms a rock band that becomes surprisingly popular and revitalizes both of their lives.

presented in widescreen in a 2.40:1 aspect ration preserving its
theatrical format. The picture is just flawless. Not only the
picture looks great in this release, also the sound it is good,
a 5.1 Dolby Digital in English that provides a good complement
to the picture. It also includes English
