AMERICAN PIE: BETA HOUSE

SYNOPSIS:
In American Pie Presents: Beta House, the gang’s all-new
hijinks take them from the town of Great Falls to a
university in Michigan. At the college, the party scene is
in full swing, especially along fraternity row, where the
competition for social supremacy is ferocious. Our heroes
Erik and Cooze pledge the infamous Beta Delta Xi House, and
hilarity ensues as everyone gets swept up in the craziness,
pranks, partying, and, of course, unpredictable sexual
situations. Pitted against a rival House and their
power-hungry leader, the rivalry gets so intense that only
the long-banned competition, The Games, can settle the
question of which House prevails. It's up to the Betas to
pull together and prove that some traditions deserve to be
upheld!
REVIEW:
Ten years after the release of the first American Pie film
in theaters. Universal DVD originals is releasing the sixth
chapter of this popular franchise on December 23, 2007.
After the success of the previous the DVD originals,
"American Pie Presents: Band Camp" and "American Pie
Presents: The Naked Mile", which remain two of the top best
five selling live action, non family made movies straight
for DVD. Universal Home Entertainment is counting on the fan
base to make "American Pie Presents: Beta House" a DVD hit.
Like previous installments of the franchise "American
Pie Presents: Beta House" follow the same format as the
other ones. Full of irreverent gags and many sexual
reference humor. That have been the trademark of this
franchise. The films have some funny scenes that make the
film entertaining, if you are a fan of the series. The main
problem with the film is that the plot is basically a
combination of the college classic films "Animal House" and
"The Revenge of the Nerds". It is very hard to not think
about this film while watching "American Pie Presents:
Beta House". The performances by the cast in this chapter is
decent given the film an average rating in this category.
Overall the film is set to
be a hit for American Pie fans , but is it is going to be
tough to make new ones. The DVD is loaded with bonus
features for die hard fans of the franchise and includes a
full episode of the "30 Rock" Television series.
