association with Indelible and Awaken Films, proudly
presents the DVD debut of Crave, a new short film collection
that mirrors in film the dramatic themes found in Soul
Cravings, the best-selling book from Erwin Raphael McManus.
The DVD uses the visual storytelling medium of film in three
heartfelt stories – Nameless Moment, Pop Star and Midnight
Clear – which reveal our human need for intimacy, meaning
and destiny -- the hidden mysteries that permeate the soul.
Each film features an introduction from McManus and a short
message on the theme.
Erwin Raphael McManus was named one of the 50 Most
Influential Christians in America by Church Report Magazine
in January 2006/2007. He is a Gold Medallion Award finalist
and is the author of An Unstoppable Force, Chasing Daylight,
Uprising: A Revolution of the Soul, The Barbarian Way and
Stand Against the Wind. McManus serves as the lead pastor
and Cultural Architect of Mosaic in Los Angeles, which was
called one of the 50 most influential churches in America in
2007 and is known around the world for its spiritual
creativity and cosmopolitan diversity.
NAMELESS
MOMENT SYNOPSIS:
Gavin is an intelligent but pessimistic physics student
who’s convinced that life is a series of random, meaningless
events. He lives in his car, showers on campus, and dreams
about Kaleen, a woman he’s never had the courage to speak
to. In one night, Gavin’s preconception is shattered after
he unexpectedly becomes Kaleen’s confidante and changes her
life forever.
POP STAR SYNOPSIS:
Right before his first American concert, a spoiled British
pop star ends up in a hospital emergency room after his hair
is set on fire. During his stay, he forms an unexpected bond
with his roommate, a precocious eight-year-old girl named
Shana. When Andy discovers why Shana is in the hospital, he
learns a hard life lesson.
MIDNIGHT CLEAR SYNOPSIS:
The home of an unsuspecting family becomes the refuge for an
escaped convict seeking shelter from a storm. However, his
break-in is no accident. As time ticks down, the convict
forges an unlikely connection with the family. When the
police arrive, the true nature of their relationship is
revealed.
