REVIEW:
Desperate Housewives (Season 4)

09/09/08

The friends and neighbors of
Wisteria Lane are back for a fourth season on DVD this
September 9, 2008. A season full of secrets, old neighbors
coming back to the neighborhood, mystery, natural
disaster and deception, that kept our desperate housewives
very busy for another year. Just like last season the Buena
Vista Home Entertaining is releasing the complete fourth
season 2 weeks before the two hour season premiere September
28, 2008. So there is plenty of time to catch up, in case
you missed it or need a little refresher.
Besides answering some of the open questions left from
season three, the first episode meets expectations by
Cleverly telling us what happened to Eddie in the shocking
season finale of season three. Also we were introduced to an
old neighbor from Wisteria Lane, Katherine Mayfair played by
Dana Delany, whose life is full of mystery and
conflict. One of the highlights of the season was the
confrontation between Bree and old neighbor Katherine, as
Bree finds her perfect match. This competition between this 2
housewives was really enjoyable.
Most of the funny and clever episodes were those involving
Carlos (Ricardo Chavira) and Gabrielle (Eva Longoria) ,
making these characters the favorites of the season once
again. The situations created by their separate lives and
their destiny of being together giving the series the spice comedy
that only this couple can provide. Like it was expected
Eddie had a major part in Gabrielle's life, thanks to
her relationship with Carlos.
The misadventures continued on
season fourth for Susan (Teri Hatcher), in her pregnancy and
in her relationship with Mike (James Denton). Also she was
challenged in her relationship with the new neighbors. For
the second season in a row, Susan's characters wasn't the
main focus of the season. It is in the season finale, which
brings expectations that Susan is going to be a big part of
the next season. The drama this time around came from
Lynette (Felicity Huffman) in her fight against cancer and
natural disasters that changed her life for ever.
All the changes and mysteries
in the personal lives of the residents at Wisteria Lane
merged together into a surprising season finale full of
gossip, betrayal, and controversy that will keep its
audience anxiously awaiting for season five.
