REVIEW: Get Smart's Bruce and Lloyd
06/28/08
Meet Bruce and Lloyd and
explore the labs of CONTROL, where cool inventions come to
life. Unlike Agent Maxwell Smart, who is off on his first
official assignment, Bruce and Lloyd are not ace detectives,
they’re R&D staffers – bumbling lab rats, geeky tech guys
who have no intention of ever venturing out into the field.
Goaded into showing off their latest invention at a company
party – Optical Camouflage Technology (OCT), a kind of
invisibility cloak – the boys awaken the next day to find
the OCT lost. Or at least they can’t find it (the whole
invisibility thing really complicates things here).
Realizing their jobs are on the line, their quest to locate
the OCT takes them outside the lab and beyond their comfort
zones as they attempt to identify who stole the OCT, recover
it before it can fall into KAOS’ hands, and get it back to
CONTROL – all before the Chief ever has a clue anything has
happened.
The project is an industry
first, offering consumers and fans of the theatrical release
of Get Smart the opportunity to enjoy parallel content, an
original side story featuring characters from the film, just
days after the film’s theatrical release.
A parallel storyline to the Get Smart feature film, Get
Smart’s Bruce and Lloyd Out of Control follows CONTROL R&D
techies Bruce (Masi Oka) and Lloyd (Nate Torrence) who set
out on their own misadventures to track down a stolen piece
of CONTROL technology while their friend and colleague
Maxwell Smart is out in the field on his first mission as an
agent.
