unlock Aubrey's family secrets to unmask a mysterious
killer, and discovers there are two sides to every crime.
REVIEW: It is very
interesting to see how studios decide when to release a film
in the theaters or straight to DVD. In some cases the
audience do not have the opportunity to see good films in
theaters like is the case of
"11:14" starring Patrick Swayze, which ended up
being released only on DVD. That is not the case of "I Know Who Killed Me"
which was released to theaters and then on DVD, which
extends the viewing options to all audiences.
The main story of the film
has potential, especially with fans of the supernatural
genre. This idea plus having Lindsay Lohan as the star of
the film was promising, unfortunately this idea was
poorly developed by Jeff Hammond and strangely directed by
Chris Sivertson.
Chris Sivertson's approach
for this film was not the best especially for the first thirty minutes
in which he decided to shoot short scenes, making the film very
distracting and not well connected. He also relies too much
in gory scenes and the famous Lindsay Lohan strip dance.
Maybe he was trying to save the film by adding these
elements.
As soon as Dakota Moss
(Lindsay Lohan) appears, the film turns more tolerable.
however this light of hope doesn't last too long because soon
the audience discovers what happened with Audrey and the
film takes a turn for the worst, probating one of the weakest
ending in recent years.
The DVD contains the full
screen and the widescreen version of the film, both with a
good video and audio quality. As for the special features
the DVD offers an alternative opening and an alternative
ending that don't offer anything special to the film. It
also contain about three minutes of bloopers. The last
special feature is the extended strip dance scene which is
probably the most popular scene of the film among males.
