REVIEW: Miss Potter

SYPNOSIS: A
sheltered but talented young woman, Beatrix Potter has
delighted generations with her beloved children’s tales.
When she falls in love with her publisher, she enters a
forbidden relationship that changes her life forever
FILM REVIEW:
Based on the life of famous
writer, Beatrix Potter played by Renee Zellweger, this movie
captures the delightful inspiration of this woman's passion
for writing and how she finds love along the way. Set in
1860's London, this movie exceptionally displays the social
pretentious of the time including the woman's standard role,
marry and have children. This courageous woman is set to
break the role for the love of her work and a man. her
publisher, played by Ewan McGregor.
The life of the beloved children's classic writer, "The Tale
of Peter Rabbit", couldn't have been exposed better than it
was in this movie. The characters of the stories come to
life sporadically in the most imaginative and charming way.
This detail was important and clever because you get to see
the characters' as the writer, Ms. Potter sees them.
In addition to this magical
touch, the beautiful green pastures, rivers and animals
brings not only a warm and delightful mood to the already
beautiful story, but Beatrix Potter's passion for nature and
its preservation. More than entertainment, this movie is
history exposed to delight your senses in the most brilliant
possible way. I am thrilled that movies of this caliber
continue to make headlines and big impressions.

A beautiful an engaging film that
effectively captures England and upper
class society prior to World War I. The
meticulous attention to detail of the
period costumes and artifacts is second
to none. Renee Zellweger is outstanding
in the role of Beatrix Potter. |
