the joys and heartbreaks of college spring break when the
hilarious comedy Spring

Phobia), Spring Breakdown features comedy stars Amy Poehler
(“Saturday Night Live,” Baby Mama, Blades of Glory), Parker
Posey (Best in Show, For Your Consideration, Dazed and
Confused, The House of Yes) and Rachel Dratch (“Saturday
Night Live,” Click) alongside a talented supporting cast
including Amber Tamblyn (The Sisterhood of the Traveling
Pants, “Joan of Arcadia,” The Ring), Seth Myers (“Saturday
Night Live”), Sophie Monk (Click, Date Movie) and Will
Arnett (Blades of Glory, “Arrested Development)
On June 2nd Spring Breakdown will also be available ON
DEMAND through Digital Cable, Satellite TV, Xbox 360 and
PlayStation 3 game consoles and it can be downloaded for
rental or purchase on iTunes and Amazon Video On Demand.
SYNOPSIS: All-season
comedy fun gets sprung in a big way when Saturday Night Live
veterans Amy Poehler (Baby Mama), Rachel Dratch (I Now
Pronounce You Chuck & Larry) and Will Arnett (Semi-Pro) gear
up for one huge Spring Breakdown. Thirtysomething best
friends Gayle (Poehler), Becky (Parker Posey) and Judi (Dratch)
have always dreamed of being fabulous. But they never grew
out of being geeks. So when Becky gets the opportunity to
unofficially chaperone her boss daughter Ashley (Amber
Tamblyn) to the college spring-break destination of South
Padre Island , the ladies decide to turn their tragically
unhip lives around and party with the beer-and-bikini set.
Through keg-stands, hookups and foam parties, Becky, Gayle,
Judi and Ashley are about to discover that it’s better to
stand out than to fit in.
DVD: Spring Breakdown is presented in
a widescreen format with a 2.35:1 aspect ration. The
transfer looks very clean without any major defects. The picture is
complemented with a 5.1 Dolby digital sound in
English and Francais (Dubbed in Quebec) with Spanish, English
and Francais subtitles.
In terms of special
features the DVD doesn't include much. It includes a
Commentary by Director Ryan Shiraki and Rachel Dratch, some
additional scenes and a gag reel.
Overall Spring Breakdown is
one of those comedies that don't have a purpose other than
provided entertaining to it target audience. This is not a
movie for everyone. If you have enjoy the latest straight to
DVD American Pie films, you may want to add this one to your
Netflix or Blockbuster queue or just get it On Demand.
