Step into a world of

critically-acclaimed, visually spectacular surf film Step
Into Liquid on Blu-Ray disc. Told through the voices of
legends, pros, and everyday surfers, Step Into Liquid takes
viewers to surfing meccas across the globe – including the
terrifying monster waves of Oahu’s North Shore, the Texas
waters of the Gulf of Mexico (where waves are created by
massive oil supertankers), and the shores of Ireland and
Rapa Nui – and discovers unforgettable human stories along
the way. Directed by Dana Brown, son of Endless Summer’s
Bruce Brown, the film features breathtaking footage of
several world-class surfers including Kelly Slater, Laird
Hamilton and Taj Burrows. It provides a unique portrayal of
surfing culture that has wowed audiences and critics
nationwide. Described by Daily Variety as “…a superb
original…an awe-inspiring survey of global surf culture,
with the power to crush…decades of Hollywood stereotyping of
surfers and surfing,” this Blu-Ray release contains special
features that include audio commentary, deleted scenes,
multiple featurettes, interviews and more. The Step Into
Liquid Blu-Ray Disc will be available on June 24th.
If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to ride at
Pipeline, flirting on the edge of some of the ocean’s most
powerful and dangerous waves, then you’re ready to Step Into
Liquid. In this documentary, director Dana Brown finds that
“the stoke” – the passion and elation that keeps surfers
paddling back for more – can be found in some pretty
unlikely places. Brown’s perspective on surfing is a unique
one, and he has seen it go from flaky fad to international
phenomenon. Traveling to some of the hottest surfing spots
in the world, Brown finds the real search isn’t for the
biggest tube or most radical ride, but instead uncovers and
examines what it is about surfing that hooks people’s souls,
becoming integral to their lives in ways that far exceed a
simple pastime.
