THE LITTLE MERMAID II

SYNOPSIS:
Disney's under the sea classic
continues in this new Special Edition of THE LITTLE MERMAID:
RETURN TO THE SEA, the magical sequel to one of the most
celebrated animated films of all time! Ariel, Sebastian,
Flounder and all your favorite characters from the original
movie splash into a wonderful adventure overflowing with
more unforgettable characters, fin-tapping songs and an
exciting, action-packed story. Ariel and Eric must hide
their precious daughter Melody's mermaid heritage to protect
her from Ursula's revengeful sister Morgana. But when the
lure of the sea proves too strong for Melody, they call upon
King Triton and all the good creatures on land and under the
waves to help rescue their daughter and restore harmony to
the seas.
REVIEW:
Disney has been able to
market successfully sequels for many of its movie classics.
This time around and for a limited time Disney is releasing
"The Little Mermaid II Return to The Sea" Special
Edition, the sequel to the 1989's classic
film "The Little Mermaid". The Special
Edition of the Little Mermaid II will be in shelves December
16, 2008.
The film is basically the same
DVD that was release back in 2000, but digitally mastered
according to the specs. I was not able to see any major
improvement in the picture and sound. It seems that Disney
is giving the public to own this sequel for a limited time
only. Overall the film is a nice
addition to the Disney collection, if you don't own the
previews DVD release of this film. Kids and parents will
have a nice time together watching this film.
The disappointment with the DVD is with the bonus features
which are very slim in this "Special Edition". It
includes games and activities, as well as a the deleted song
"Gonna Get My Wish". However, the only good
feature is the new game "The Little Memaid ||
Underwater Mer-Venture Challenge Game" which is a nice
game for the little ones.
