Ugly Betty (Season
2)
09/07/08
SYNOPSIS: Sunny,
sweet-tempered and terminally style challenged, Betty
navigates the ego-infested, high fashion halls of Mode
magazine for a second season that is even brighter and
bolder than the first. Star America Ferrera’s (Real Women
Have Curves) portrayal of the title role earned her a 2007
Emmy® Award and a 2007 Golden Globe® Award for Best Actress
in a Comedy Series.
SEASON REVIEW: The
2008/2009 Fall Television season is just around the corner,
and to be prepare for the upcoming season. Home
Entertainment Companies are starting to release last year's
best TV series on DVD. One of the titles that is being
release on September 9, 2008 by Buena Vista Home
Entertainment, is ABC's hit comedy Ugly Betty. Show that in
its first season manages to captivate television viewers
around the country, for its refreshing comedy and it down to
earth situations. With the theme of Brighter, Bolder,
Bettyer. Buena Vista Home Entertainment is setting the
grounds for the upcoming premier of the third season on
September 25, 2008.
Season two was a big challenge for Ugly Betty, however the
show was able to maintain the hype created after a
successfully season one. In its second year Ugly Betty saw
the integration of several new characters. Freddy Rodríguez,
John Cho, Gabrielle Union, Gene Simmons and Eddie Cibrian
are just some of star that join the cast of the show,
expanding the story a little more by creating fresh
situations, but it is Betty's romantic life which takes a
new turn in this season. Betty gets into a love dilemma
between Henry (Christopher Gorham) and Giovanni (Freddy
Rodríguez), who has fell in love with her. The highlight of
this season was the car accident, where Alexis (Rebecca
Romaijn) forgets the last few years of her life. In the mean
time the diabolic Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams) is in a
mission to marry Bradford.
Overall Ugly Betty continues to set strong grounds in its
second season providing the most exquisite humorous
situations that made the series a hit for the second year in
a row. Betty Suarez is here to stay.
