definitely the best film of this season. an astute adaptation of the road
of life. unfortunate that some do not "get the drift" of its
purpose. of course, i cannot for the life of me understand how one would
cast a vote for a forrest gump sound alike. ebert is right in his thumbs
up rating.

Very well done, worth seeing. Actual dialog and character
development. The child actor is a scene stealer. Excellent
photography. Recommend

Great movie! As a Black man I say a dual message in this film. The obvious
message was that through divine intervention, one can get his act
together. The more subtle message was that by portraying Bagger as a Black
caddie in the old south it reminds us that sometimes the greatest
treasures reside in areas we have been trained to ignore.

Great movie.A truly spiritual story taking place in the old south. By
portraying Bagger as a Black man in the old south, it reminds us of how
sometimes the greatest things on earth can easily reside exactly where we
have been trained NOT to look.

This movie has the potential of explaining the Bhagavad-gita to the
spiritually challenged American mind but will probably just remain a warm
fuzzy feeling. Our youngsters should see it in spite of the PG13.

A "beautiful" movie, but a "lightweight fantasy."
Really, a 30 year old alcoholic who hasn't played golf in 10 years is
going to pull his clubs out of moth balls and compete with Bobby Jones,
who is at the top of his game? Should bring tons of Matt Damon fans to the
golf course, who will be shocked at how difficult the game is. Damon did
admirable job learning the golf swing for this movie. I'm still trying to
figure out who - or what - Bagger Vance was. Will Smith was rather good in
a different role for him, but would have preferred Morgan Freeman in the
role. In response to "Richard," Bagger was the "hero"
in this movie, no "Steppin Fetchit." Was he paying attention?

I thought Legend of Bagger Vance was an exceptional movie. I truly
enjoyed it. Matt Damon and Will Smith were awnsome. I actually
learned something about the game of golf from this movie. Everyone
in the theater were all sitting on the edge of their seats hoping he would
hit the ball in the hole at the end. It was like watching Tiger
Woods play. The boy who played Hardy was great.

An enthralling film. Especially if you have an interest in golf. The
technical golf aspects are done quite well. The story is unbelievable but
who cares? It's fun and makes you think a little. Not quite a family
film because of language and sexual content. But go see it! You'll
like it.

Just what America needs, another "Yes sur, no sur, Is we sick, sur"
movie in the mold of Steppin Fetchit and Morgan Freeman, the modern day
Fetchit. I guess Robert Redford and white America may feel that this
should somehow be complementary of the negroes. But please as a black man,
my perspective and the perspective of many to whom I've spoken, if this is
your idea of complementary. Mr. Redford, just make movies about horses.

This movie was wonderful and predictable. The slow natural pace of
Savannah and golf sets the tone of the movie, containing a mix of
wonderful pointers on the reflection of life. The cinematography was
breathtaking, and Will Smith makes his himself believable taking on a
dramatic role from the usual action/comedic roles of the past.
However, it's not for the action hearted viewers with no patience.
This movie is quite long, but very enjoyable. Sort of reminds me of
a long hot summer night in the South.

I felt that this was an excellent movie. It was very well
directed and the acting was excellent. I felt as though I were at a real
golf tournament and my brother or someone close to me was playing.
