The People's Review of For Love of the Game

This movie tears at your heart.  It moves you to view your loyalties in your own life.  What is important to you. It takes you to a place of finding and needing another person in your life. Kevin Costner gave a great, totally believable performance along with  his supporting cast. This film will stay with me a long time. Two thumbs up!!

This was a great movie.  It included two of the best things in life: love and baseball.  Both  had you ghasping for an ending.  It was awesome! Kevin Costner is adorable and Kelly Preston is so cutely dramatic.

Kevin Costner did an excellent job portraying the aging Billy Chapel. I am not a big sports fan but the last game of Billy Chapel really had me wrapped up through the whole movie.  I also enjoyed seeing the old home movies of Kevin Costner as a little boy and then seeing his parents included in this film.  This film really affected me strongly because my husband had to face the end of his career recently with all of the heartbreaking decisions that can involve--many of which were expressed in this film.   This is the first film that I have seen Kelly Preston in and I think she is gorgeous and that she did a wonderful job portraying Jane. I also think that Kevin Costner is getting more attractive the older he gets.

I think kevin costner does an excellent job in this movie.  Just because it is not a typical kevin movie, or action movie, it is given negative reviews.  I think that he can play a great dramatic love story role.  Way to go kevin, you warmed my heart with this one.  Just like you did in message in a bottle.  Way to go-continue the love stories, you are excellent at what you do!

It was one of the best movies I've seen this year...I would definitely call it an excellent movie for those who love romance and drama as well as a bit of comedy!  A must see for me!

I loved this film.  Kevin Costner was wonderful.  Roger Ebert needs to leave the business.  I have never agreed with his analysis of any movies he has evaluated.  I would like to see him try an act and maybe he would be a little less critical of other people's abilities
