I really can't see some of the blasting reviews.  It did lack a little in the writing but the story premise was great.  the two prophets were the best part.  It is a very interesting and worth seeing movie.  Some might hate it because they don't want to believe Jesus is actually going to come back.

I didn't know what to expect, having not seen any trailers. The action and script could definetly have been charged up more, Michael York was perfect in the role, but needed more scene-chewing dialogue. This movie may not make a world wide impact for Christ, BUT I truly believe it will open the doors to more Bible-Based movies and I pray TBN doesn't stop with this but continues to improve and Go all out for our Creator. Our prayers should all be behind any persons attempt to make a movie that sends a good message of hope, truth and redemption these days.!!!! I liked the movie. It was interesting. However, it lacked more details for those that know nothing about the bible. Some of the scenes should have had somehow explianed more. I felt this movie to be geared towards Christians because anyone that knows the book of Revelations would know what was going on in the movie. I believe that a person that knew nothing about Revelations would be completely lost, including some Christians. But the plot was good! I also believe that some non-Christians are so critical of this movie because she have no relationship with God and probably don't care to. Very Sad to say the least. People get ready 'cause the book of Revelations IS GOING TO COME TO PASS! JUST WAIT AND SEE FOR YOURSELF!

Overall I applaud the efforts.  Michael York was excellant.  If I was not a Christian though the story line would have been confusing....actually even as a Christian I found it confusing at times. The film had it's moments and I hope that all unbelievers that see it will at least start to think about their futures.

The Omega Code is a must see film.  Considering the trash that comes out of Hollywood - (let's not forget Columbine High) - this film rises to the occasion for decent movie making.  Yes, it could have been better, but this movie will not disappoint if the viewer takes the time listen for the message that this film gets across.  There is a higher power in control.  And whether we accept or reject that fact does not void it.   Humanity can deny many things but there is one thing that cannot be denied. In this vast universe we are but a grain of sand in an endless array of stars.  We know nothing!

This was the worst letdown for a Christian movie I have ever seen. Any Christian who has ever studied the book of Revalations would know that this movie was not Biblical. I would never take an unsaved person to see this movie because they would never know what was happening in this film and I feel they would be falsely led. I was very disappointed because the movie left you feeling like there was nothing leading to Christianity.  I wanted to feel uplifted, but instead felt like these people need to know more about Revaltions and not the omega codes.

Well, I thought that Bruce Willis's "Hudson Hawke" was the absolute definitive example of garbage---that nothing ever put on screen could come close to its' low level of insignificance---but this beauty makes "Hudson Hawke" into "Citizen Kane."  This is laughable----and all these reviews RAVING about it must be from religious people who are starved for a decent religious movie----WHY DON'T YOU ALL GO RENT "BEN-HUR", OR OTHER QUALITY RELIGIOUS MOVIES??  THIS TRASH MAKES A VIDEO GAME OUT OF RELIGION---AND NOT EVEN A GOOD VIDEO GAME---THIS IS LIKE PAC-MAN!!!!  It seems impossible to me that Michael York is the same wonderful actor from "Cabaret."  He comes off like a cross between Barney Fife, and Sadam Hussein!!!!  I wish there was a minus rating available----!!

The movie seems to start slow at first. Acting okay. Not preachy like some movies. Seeks to get a point across without pushing any view on you.  This a big plus.  Lets you think about it for yourself at the end. Film could have focused on two or three key events and developed better. Perhaps spread to thin for a person who has not read the book. This movie showed action and drama.  It was NOT a waste of time for the producer and for me.  I enjoyed being in that theater watching a movie that keeps me thinking.   Unlike some of the other movies that are just plain dumb such as superstar. I'm all for Christian centered movies... but turning to The Bible for inspiration does not have to mean a weak script and low production values. How can TBN expect Hollywood to take a Christian movie seriously when most of the low budget indies have stronger scripts and better production values than this? It is really a shame that a better effort could not have been put forward as an example of Christian filmmaking. Releasing works that are beneath our potential does not serve the Lord, it only strengthens his detractors. While a laudible effort, the Omega Code falls *far* short of an example of Christian values in *good* filmmaking.

Our family saw this movie Sunday afternoon on the 17th of October, just 3 hours after our Baptist church service was over, and we found it very impressive.  I thought Michael York was excellent in his portrayal of the European Union leader who is unveiled as the Antichrist, and Casper Van Dien was also good as his New Age Public-Relations man.   Having now portrayed both John the Baptist (in Zefferelli's "Jesus Of Nazareth") and the Antichrist, it appears that Michael York has had the opportunity to play the opposite extremes of Earth's history: the most righteous and most evil persons of human history! Jesus said that no man more righteous than John had ever lived, and I doubt that anyone can be much more evil than the Antichrist!    Hal Lindsey is credited as the Biblical Prophecy Consultant for "The Omega Code," so it seems a bit silly for some of the lay critics to insist that this movie is totally unbiblical.  My wife and I both liked it, and we have both had some seminary training; it's a fictional story, but I can't see that it's unbiblical in any conspicuous way, despite what some of the other viewers have written here.     I do wish the film had another 15 or 20 minutes of material inserted into it to better display the persecution of believers under the Antichrist.  And it would be better, I think, to have an ending that shows the final return of the genuine Christ as more than just a wave of divine energy that ultimately transforms the Earth when the Millennium begins.  The ending that the film now presents to us seems more suited for a secular audience, and not really an adequate consummation for those viewers who are already believers.  Still, it should serve well as an evangelistic tool, even in its truncated form.

First of all, I'm a 25 yr old male. <br> I admit this movie could have been better.   From all the hype I saw on the TBN showing of it's premiere, I was expecting more than what I saw.  <br> BUT, you have to think about it this way: No sex, No drugs, No vulgar language & No extreme violence.  By far, the most decent movie I've seen in a long while.  <br> I admit that it left me with something to be desired.. like more details with the tribulation and things of that sort.  If I was not a Christian, or have any Bible knowledge, I would not have been able to really pay attention to what was going on.  <br> Also, as this movie is based on FUTURE events, how can anyone say it was not 'correct'?  This is an interpritation of how the Tribulation might come to pass if it happened in the immediate future.   <br> This movie will hopefully be a door-opener for the movies that follow.   I SUPPORT THIS FILM for that reason.  I like action in my "action" films and this one had a little bit.  I also agree that the TV show scene was cheezy but it served its purpose to describe the latest phenomenom of Bible Codes. I am a Christian, and went to this movie thinking I probably wouldn't like it, because I had seen some of the scenes previously.  I was pleasantly surprised that the movie had a pretty good pace with few down times.  I thought the acting and locations were good, especially the energy of Casper Van Dean. To be fair, I wanted it to be a success so that there will be more in the future.  My only criticism is that the ending appeared like they may have rushed it.  I think they wanted to do more, but the budget limited them.  Remember Matt Crouch, the ending is what everyone remembers so next time put the bucks into it so it will drive the message home.  Also, a couple of camera shots were out of focus.  Overall, a good effort, and Christians should support this movie, in hope that more will come.

I understand many of the points of view. The message was conveyed clearly. But the acting seemed strained especially Van Dien, it was almost funny watching then grunt and overact through the movie. Despite the $ 7 million budget, it was a nice change NOT to hear curse words. But come on, a sequel? Please TBN invest your money in TV movies and keep it on cable. Overall I wouldn't recommend this movie, the Bible Code is a better read. As for the rest of you who gave high ratings, come on it's nice SUPPORT a good cause, but quit ramming your rhetoric and beliefs on others. Isn't that one of ALL our religious principles RESPECT the opinions and beliefs of others.

Fast moving, really enjoyed the shoots of Rome and Israel. As would be expected, Michael York was just right. His character change after his death was subtle and skillfully done - no over kill. I liked the ending - the ending is the beginning!

I have not seen this movie, but I have read the reviews, both good and bad. What really strikes me as odd are the critics who absolutely bashed the film, but didn't get up and walk out and demand their money back. Could it be that they were somehow intrigued even the slightest bit about the message that the film was intending to convey? From what I have read, and I do intend to see for myself, this is a fictionalized version of the Tribulation. If you are not a Christian, in most cases it will not be clear, and the plot will be as murky as mud, poorly acted, etc., etc. However, we, as Christians are very highly charged that this movie has garnered attention, both good and bad, as this opens avenues for us to share our faith. For those of you who are curious enough to go see the film, but find it disgusting, good, consider it food for thought and remember, YOU WERE WARNED!

Hello, I have been to see the Omega code 2 times in the San Juan Capistrano location... I took my son Eric and a friend to the Sunday showing. We all loved it....I had a strange comment from a person who saw it.  They know prophecy too, but they didn't get it that the real rapture had already taken place...As most of us believe we won't be here for the unveiling of the anti-christ.  I took it to mean that these were the fallen away Christians who still had another chance to call on the Lord in the Tribulaton time. As in one of the main characters, who called on the lord. I think this movie will help christains get their ideas straight...When you see it with your eyes it helps firm up your beliefs. Michael York was terrific. I don't how he could have been any better than he was. The movie as a whole is about an 80. However, considering its budget, I give it a 100. (Average = 90). Even Time magazine states: "Given its (Omega's) budget, the quality of its writing, acting and production is remarkably high" (p.99).

With a limited budget hats off to TBN for a galliant effort of their first run Christian movie.  I believe this is just the beginning and although a little rough around the edges every movie company has to start somewhere.  I'm tired of watching "Hollywood" versions and interpretations of the history, the Bible, etc. so it's refreshing to watch something that someone actually took the time to research lay some important facts down.  There are so many weird "Hollywood" versions of the end times (whether biblical or just plain apocalyptic) that this might just spur more mainstream films to look into the facts before they create their version of any end time film.  A definite 100 just for having the guts to create this and being the pioneers for more Christian movies.  I know it will only get better and better after this.

In response to Paulblue, I would like to say that most christians are not anti-semitic. There is nothing anti-jew in this movie. It is simply an interpretation of the end times based on the Bible. I want to congratulate TBN on a job well done. Keep them coming! Everyone should see this movie, especially young people who might get interested in the future and pick up their Bible. We thought the movie special affects, graphics and stunts were really good.  We even liked the way the story line was taking us.  I think you should keep on working on these type of movies, as we need good wholesome movies back in our theaters.  I am not sure if knowing the scriptures kind of made the movie harder to follow because there was so much more that I expected to see or easier to understand. This movie should be seen by all Christians not because of its content only, but to support a movie that is good enough to be seen by Christians.

I really enjoyed the movie !  I drove 1 and a half hours there twice in one week-end and 1 and a half hours each time back....I took a bus load to see the movie because it was so worth seeing.  It goes right with scripture and after the rapture....this movie will show prophecy to those who have not read the Bible but seen the movie...then they they too can witness to fulfilled prophecy for the glory of God.  A must see for both believers and non-believers !  I'm presently trying to get this movie locally !   Satan fears the truth shown in this movie...we are to trust in God ...there are many out there who are false prophets and serving their own wordly god who leads to death & distruction.(Satan is out to steal ...kill....and destroy !!  Drugs & alcohol are witness to how addicting Satan is to sneek in and totally consume & destroy a person.  We are destroyed by lack of knowledge !!  Darkness can not be dark when exposed to light !!  When God created the world He seperated light & dark then !!  He said then that the light was good !  Praise the Lord !!   He is LOVE !!

Definitely a MUST SEE, we went on our anniversery night and took our teen group on that same weds. night.  They loved it, & so did we....  The most awesome part I thought was when the prophet speaks to the anti-christ....  The annoiting was very strong and came thru the movie..... i beleive hundreds and thousands will support it and see it and the best thing of all is feel the FIRE of almighty GOD.  Praise God for doing this movie..... I felt that it was a very good movie and enjoyed the special effects and I felt that the acting was real.  There are   people out there that talk and act like that and really do believe the bible code. I understand that there are Christians and others that will scoff but I am happy that they are finally producing movies that are wonderful and clean enough to take children to. Please go see it so that we will have more like this in the future. Let the movie producers know that we will pay to see GOOD movies and not trash.
