Altitude has released the official trailer for Pinocchio: Unstrung, arriving in UK cinemas 24 July. The film will have its UK Premiere at the Raindance Film Festival in June, where it is nominated for four awards, including Best UK Feature and Best Performance in a UK Feature for Richard Brake.
From writer‑director Rhys Frake‑Waterfield (Winnie‑the‑Pooh: Blood and Honey) and producer Scott Chambers, this new chapter in the Twisted Childhood Universe delivers a dark, violent reimagining of Carlo Collodi’s classic tale.
ABOUT THE FILM
In this disturbing coming‑of‑age horror, Geppetto (Richard Brake) introduces his grandson James to a magical wooden doll named Pinocchio. But when James brings the naïve puppet into the real world, Pinocchio begins a ruthless crusade to eliminate anything he deems “bad,” guided by the sinister and manipulative Cricket, played by horror legend Robert Englund.
