Prime Video has released the official trailer for The Boy Who Stole Billions?, a new three-part documentary series examining the rise and fall of former FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried.
All three episodes will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on November 30, 2026, in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Directed and executive produced by Nanette Burstein, the docuseries offers unprecedented access to one of the most controversial figures in modern finance, featuring exclusive interviews with Bankman-Fried conducted from prison alongside never-before-seen accounts from key figures who helped build FTX.
At just 30 years old, Bankman-Fried oversaw a cryptocurrency empire valued at $32 billion before being convicted of stealing $8 billion in customer funds, making the collapse one of the largest fraud cases in U.S. history.
The series explores the events surrounding the downfall of FTX, examining whether the collapse stemmed from deliberate fraud or risky business decisions that spiraled beyond control. Through firsthand testimony, the documentary investigates Bankman-Fried’s inner circle, the culture surrounding the company, and his complex relationship with former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison.
