 “There’s no need to fear. Underdog is
here!” The superhero canine with a gift for rhyme returns in
an all new live-action re-imagination of the classic
cartoon, UNDERDOG.
After an accident in the mysterious lab of maniacal
scientist Dr. Simon Barsinister (PETER DINKLAGE), an
ordinary beagle unexpectedly finds himself with unimaginable
powers and the ability to speak. Armed with a fetching
superhero costume, UNDERDOG (voiced by comedian JASON LEE)
vows to protect the beleaguered citizens of Capitol City
and, in particular, one beautiful spaniel named Polly
Purebread (voiced by Academy Award® nominee AMY ADAMS). When
a sinister plot by Barsinister and his overgrown henchman
Cad (PATRICK WARBURTON) threatens to destroy Capitol City
only UNDERDOG can save the day.
UNDERDOG stars Jim Belushi, Peter Dinklage, Alex Neuberger,
Taylor Momsen with Amy Adams and Jason Lee as the voice of
Underdog. Utilizing state-of-the-art CGI special effects
mixed with live-action, UNDERDOG flies into theaters in
summer 2007.

I “Have no fear..Underdog is here!”- I
can still hear him say this famous line
and I died laughing my heart out…;) I
first heard of the title by mouth from
my 10 year old sister who is palpably a
Disney fan. Disney had been making
breathtaking movies for all ages ever
since and I thought from the moment I
heard the title that this is just one of
the million cartoon craps that Disney
created. I am not an anime fan nor a
cartoon fan or anything of that sort but
I got really curious to see
this movie. At first, honestly, I didn't
think it would be very good.
For all of those who didn’t know, this
movie is in fact a remake of an old
cartoon…so old they can’t be seen on T.V
now… only through DVD’s.. HEAD LEVEL,
this could be the stupidest, most
horrible, most bizarre… movie in the
globe. This is about a talking dog who
is made up in a red sweater. Yes you
read it right. It could be just one of
the common cheesy movies out there…
however, it wasn’t just any silly movie
for me.. It’s like an experience.
I expected the movie not to be so
superman like and I was quite
disappointed on that part.Coincidentally,
I have a pet dog…and I could really
appreciate some scenes in the movie
where I could associate shoeshine with
my pet. Scenes were unforgettable tho…
They were really funny!...so funny that
2 days after watching the movie, we
still talk about it in our breakfast
table (with our dog).hehehe Well…I did
watch it with my mom and my tita… We had
fun. Perhaps you’ll have fun yourself
too… Besides, its just 50 pesos. it’s
worth watching…;) |
