Synopsis
Twenty‑nine‑year‑old Noelle Al Saffan moves to the city to rebuild her life after a divorce. Obsessed with true‑crime podcasts, she takes a clerical job at a police station digitizing old case files — monotonous work that suddenly shifts when a teenage girl’s body is discovered in the desert.
The officers require a female presence at the scene, and Noelle jumps at the chance to participate in real police work. With no missing‑persons report and a family unwilling to come forward, the victim’s identity remains a mystery. Haunted by the girl’s death, Noelle launches her own investigation despite having no badge, no authority, and repeated warnings from the Police Chief.
Drawing on her understanding of the hidden world of Saudi women, she pieces together the victim’s life, befriends young women with inside knowledge, and follows the advice of her favorite podcast: investigate everyone connected to the case.
