Independent Film Company has announced the acquisition of BEST PANCAKES IN THE COUNTY, an action thriller written and directed by Ken Sanzel (Kill Chain, Blunt Force Trauma). The film stars Nicolas Cage, Justin Long, and Shelley Hennig. The deal covers U.S. domestic rights, with the film set to debut in theaters and on digital platforms November 20, 2026.
Set over the course of a single night, BEST PANCAKES IN THE COUNTY centers on a small‑town diner that becomes the focal point of a violent standoff involving rogue federal agents, a con man with a dangerous past, and a waitress guarding her own secrets. As tensions escalate and alliances shift, each character must navigate a rapidly deteriorating situation where survival depends on outthinking—and outgunning—everyone else.
The film reunites Ken Sanzel and Nicolas Cage, following their previous collaboration on the 2019 action thriller Kill Chain.
