THE APPARITION Movie Review

What an unbelievable excuse for film-making. I’m still recovering, not from fear and entertainment, but from the shock of how horrible this movie was. It is really difficult to articulate, in words, how disappointing this movie turned out to be. Part of my disappointment stems from the realization that this horror flick had the makings and potential of a first-rate movie, but some how could not deliver. It seems to have attracted decent actors and produced very good cinematography and classic scary movie tactics that occasionally set the mood. However, the plot line and the protagonist seems to have fallen short on substance. Writer/director Todd Lincoln really dropped the ball on this one and made it so obvious that it must be his first time at the helm.

The most misleading part of this movie is that it started with an interesting opening that set the stage for mystery and intrigue. Nevertheless, it dragged on with the initial opening scenes being the most interesting parts and as time went along, one had to wonder if and when the plot would reveal itself. READ FULL REVIEW
