Well Go USA Entertainment will release 731, a wartime historical drama from writer‑director Zhao Linshan, on Digital April 7, with Blu‑ray and DVD available exclusively through Amazon beginning June 2. The film examines one of history’s darkest chapters through the perspective of a prisoner forced into a position of reluctant responsibility.
Set inside the Japanese Imperial Army’s Unit 731, the film follows Wang (Wu Jiang), a prisoner assigned to act as an interpreter and intermediary for fellow captives. Through his viewpoint, the story explores the moral strain, fear, and survival instincts that emerge within the camp as prisoners confront the cruelty of their circumstances. The film focuses on the human cost and emotional toll of the era rather than depicting events graphically.
