Miami International Film Festival (MIFF), a program of Miami Dade College’s MDCulture, today released an additional 42 titles from 22 countries to be featured in its upcoming 31st edition (March 7 – 16, 2014) with the announcement of films to be showcased in two non-competition categories, Cinema 360° presented by VIENDOMOVIES and Doc-You-Up. MIFF’s announcement of this extraordinary survey of world cinema serves as an opportunity for festivalgoers to wet their appetite for the upcoming announcement of CINEDWNTWN Galas presented by Miami Downtown Development Authority, Knight Competitions, Lexus Opera Prima Ibero-American Competition, Papi SHORTS Competition presented by Macy’s, and Special Presentation categories, which will be made on January 28th.
“Among the highlights of the titles released today are films that last week received a combined total of 57 nominations at Spain’s Goya Awards, the annual top prizes of the Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España,” said MIFF Executive Director Jaie Laplante. “The line-up so far also features several directors who have been celebrated by MIFF audiences at previous editions of the Festival, many of whom we look forward to welcoming back in person.”
Cinema 360° presented by VIENDOMOVIES is one of the Festival’s most extensive categories with an array of films from around the world. Films participating in this category include:

The 42 titles released today join the previously announced Foosball (Metegol), from director Juan José Campanella, in MIFF’s Official Selection for the 2014 Festival.
All of the above titles will be eligible for the Lexus Audience Awards (Feature & Documentary), as voted on by the public during the Festival. Lexus is the Official and Exclusive Automobile Sponsor of the 2014 Festival.
