Icon Film Distribution has released the official trailer for THE INFLUENCER PROJECT, a new found‑footage horror from the creators of The Blair Witch Project. The film arrives in UK & Irish cinemas on 16 October, with a Blu‑ray, DVD, and Digital release set for 30 November.
From Blair Witch co‑creator Eduardo Sánchez and producer Gregg Hale, The Influencer Project marks a return to the genre they helped define — now reimagined for the age of social media, parasocial obsession, and online fame.
British beauty and lifestyle influencer Chiara King leads the film, drawing from her own real‑life experiences with stalkers to bring a chilling authenticity to the story. With more than 4.2 million TikTok followers and 1.4 million Instagram followers, King’s massive online presence adds a strikingly modern edge to the film’s premise.
The film also marks the directorial debut of Mike Nybroe.
SYNOPSIS
Influencer Chiara King travels to Copenhagen with a documentary crew promising an unfiltered look behind the glamorous world of online fame. But as cameras follow her every move — and her devoted fans track her in real time — someone else is watching too.
When an obsessive stalker begins closing in, the documentary mutates into something far more terrifying, blurring the line between content and evidence, follower and predator, fact and fiction.
