The documentary also follows Indira, a mother searching for her son Rodrigo. Her story is interwoven with Rafael’s ongoing work, highlighting the emotional toll faced by families who lose contact with loved ones during border crossings. Filmed over six years, Desert Angel centers on the human impact of migration and the personal stories often overshadowed by political debate.
