Operation Kabul, a war thriller rooted in the real 2021 rescue mission known as Operation Shaman Shield, will be available on Digital November 3 from Well Go USA Entertainment. The film depicts the turmoil surrounding the withdrawal from Afghanistan as a Hungarian military unit works to evacuate civilians while undertaking a dangerous rescue inside Kabul.
Directed by Zsombor Dyga (Couch Surf), the film features a large ensemble cast including Gábor Jászberényi, Blanka Mészáros, Tamás Borovics, Nóra Trokán, Adrián Samudovszky, Gusztáv Dietz, Dávid Hajmási, Zsombor Ertl, Márton Máthé, Szilveszter Pálinkás, Klarissza Lakatos, Harry Szovik, Read Ben Salah, Marco Lascari, Loai Shaker, József Tálos, and András Stohl.
Set during the final days of the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal, Operation Kabul follows a rifleman commander tasked with moving civilians to safety as the city collapses around them. When a doctor is taken hostage by the Taliban, the commander leads his team beyond the airport perimeter on a high‑risk nighttime mission. Their attempt to reach the captive turns an already volatile evacuation into a fight for survival.
