Amazon MGM Studios and Alliance Home Entertainment have officially set the home entertainment rollout for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power – Season 1 and Season 2, bringing the sweeping Prime Video epic to physical media for the first time. Fans will be able to own both seasons on 4‑disc 4K Ultra HD™, Blu‑ray™, and DVD beginning November 3, followed by a Limited Edition 4K UHD SteelBook arriving December 1.
The release marks a major milestone for the global hit series, which has drawn over 185 million viewers worldwide and stands among the most‑watched titles in Prime Video history.
A RETURN TO MIDDLE‑EARTH’S SECOND AGE
Set thousands of years before the events of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, The Rings of Power explores the rise of legendary kingdoms, the forging of iconic artifacts, and the emergence of ancient evils that shape the fate of Middle‑earth.
Across two seasons, the series transports viewers through the Misty Mountains, the shimmering forests of Lindon, the mighty island realm of Númenor, and remote corners of the map rarely depicted on screen. The story follows elves, dwarves, men, harfoots, and dark forces as they navigate alliances, betrayals, and the slow awakening of a shadow long feared.
Season 1 premiered in September 2022, introducing audiences to the political tensions and mythic landscapes of the Second Age. Season 2, which debuted in August 2024, expanded the scope with new characters, rising conflicts, and the deepening mystery surrounding Sauron’s return.
