After seeing how Tim Burton failed to successfully reboot one of Hollywood’s cult classics, my expectations for this prequel were very low. From what I was able to grasp from the trailer and clips, it was hard for me to see this film as the rebirth of the franchise. Moreover what else was there to tell? Same story just GCI instead of makeup. Well! I was wrong. Rise of the Planet of the Apes exploded in from of my eyes as one of this year’s top summer films. READ FULL MOVIE REVIEW
